Continuing Education Programs for Healthcare Professionals

Med-IQ's case-based continuing education: Whether redacted from actual medical malpractice cases illustrating the complex interactions between medicine and law or derived from the first-hand experience of Med-IQ's distinguished faculty, Med-IQ's course content is based on realistic situations you may encounter in practice and reflects best practices supported by recent patient safety literature.


Med-IQ is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Med-IQ is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Hardware/Software Requirements

The Med-IQ courses have been designed to operate in the most commonly used internet browsers (Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, etc.) and mobile device web-surfing platforms (iPhone, Droid, etc.). If you have altered your browser's configuration, you must at least ensure that it accepts "cookies" and has JavaScript enabled. For technical assistance, contact Med-IQ Support.

Instructions for Obtaining Continuing Education Credit

Participants are expected to visit all case presentations before attempting to take the test and activity evaluation. Successful completion of a unit will lead to the online issuance of a certificate. Please follow these steps in order to receive credit for taking a course:

  • Read all of the relevant accreditation information.
  • Read and complete all modules included in each course.
  • Receive a passing test score (70% minimum) on the course.
  • Complete the online post-activity evaluation.

Your certificate will be issued electronically following successful completion of the course test and post-activity evaluation.

Content Validity

Educational activities that assist physicians in carrying out their professional responsibilities more effectively and efficiently are consistent with the ACCME definition of continuing medical education (CME). As an ACCME-accredited provider of CME, it is the policy of Med-IQ to review and ensure that all the content and any recommendations, treatments, and manners of practicing medicine in CME activities are scientifically based, valid, and relevant to the practice of medicine. Med-IQ is responsible for validating the content of the CME activities it provides.
